Faber-Castell Watersoluble Graphite Pencils are great for classical watercolor painting, preliminary sketches and mixed media projects. The lead is securely bonded inside the wooden casing making it break-resistant. They are coated with eco-friendly water-based varnish and come in 5 degrees of lead hardness. The varying degrees of lead hardness allow the artist to achieve a wide range of tones and the tonal range can be extended based upon the amount of water used.
