-a line of 48 (15ml) individual colors, as well as a 12 tube set
-colors created from the ancient palette of pigments used by Japanese & Chinese painters centuries ago
-delicate and harmonious, highly saturated & very eastern in flavor
Unlike the transparent watercolors, these colors granulate more freely and tend to be slightly more opaque, in the true Asian fashion. Like Holbein transparent watercolors, these pigments are of the finest quality mixed with gum arabic and there is no ox-gall added.
Because of exceptional pigment density, which is the reason for the line’s outstanding brilliance, there is less gum arabic in each tube. Irodori is mat and flat. It will dry hard and may not adhere to the palette like a transparent watercolor. We recommend that when using, squeeze only what you need for each color.

( 3 / 183 )*Look for seamless ferrules (the metal part of the brush where the fibers meet the handle); seamless assures a secure setting of hair and attachment to brush handle, resulting in a longer brush life
*Ferrules should also have multiple "crimps," (crimping forces the metal into the wood)
*If you're picking out a Bristle brush, look for flagging and interlocked bristles
-Flag: a split-end at the tip which will hold more paint
-Interlocked: when the natural curve is inward toward
the ferrule; though they may be more expensive, these
brushes will retain their shape, manipulate masses of
color and allow the artist more control
*Most brushes are dipped in gum arabic or sizing to protect the hairs during shipping. Wash it off in clean water rather than "breaking" it out of the brush because the hairs can be broken or damaged.
Cleaning/Care:
*If cleaning the brush with solvent, remove excess paint with a rag or towel before putting the brush in the solvent
*Don't allow the brush to rest in liquid, especially on the head
*After cleaning, lay it flat or suspend with head down so excess liquid drains away from the ferrule (the metal part of the brush where the hairs/bristles meet the handle)
